The Safeguarding Office of the Christian Brothers welcomes you to our website. Safeguarding is everybody’s business. In our centres and activities we are committed to ensuring and maintaining safe environments for all children.

Children are our present and our future. Each child is to be cherished and protected.  This belief derives from our conviction that the dignity and bodily integrity of each child are to be promoted and protected at all times.

Children enjoy a right to our protection and the promotion of their welfare is, we believe, of paramount importance.

Who is this website for?

This website is a resource for all persons who have roles and responsibility for safeguarding within the Christian Brothers on the island of Ireland.

We hope that this resource will make it easy for you to do a good job in the essential task of keeping children safe.

These policies and procedures are based entirely on the seven standards guidance document of the National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland.
